1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WeeReel ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

WeeReel reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility

To use WeeReel, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your country)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Platform by applicable law
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.

3. Account Registration

When you create an account with WeeReel:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You may not share your account credentials with any third party

WeeReel reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you post on WeeReel, including:

• Portfolio items, showreels, and creative work samples
• Profile information, headshots, and biographies
• Project listings, casting calls, and collaboration requests
• Messages, comments, and feedback to other users

By posting content, you grant WeeReel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Display, store, and distribute your content on the Platform
• Use your content to improve our matching algorithms and services
• Promote the Platform using your content (with attribution)

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you post.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Post infringing, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Platform to spam, scam, or mislead other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Collect user data without explicit consent
• Post sexually explicit or violent content

6. Professional Conduct

WeeReel is a professional platform for creatives. You agree to:

• Represent your skills, experience, and credentials honestly
• Treat all users with respect and professionalism
• Honor commitments made through the Platform (casting, collaborations, etc.)
• Provide constructive feedback when collaborating with others

Users who engage in unprofessional conduct may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

7. Intellectual Property

The WeeReel platform, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and code, is owned by WeeReel and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Platform without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

WeeReel integrates with third-party services, including:

• Google OAuth: For authentication (subject to Google's Terms of Service)
• Supabase: For database and authentication services
• Vercel: For hosting and deployment

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Payment Terms

WeeReel is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future:

• We will provide clear notice before implementing any fees
• You may choose to upgrade or continue using free features
• All payments will be processed through secure third-party payment processors
• Refunds will be handled according to our then-current refund policy

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Engaging in prohibited conduct
• Extended inactivity (12+ months)
• Any reason or no reason, with or without notice

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@weereel.comor through your account settings.

11. Data Deletion

Upon account termination, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except:

• Data required to comply with legal obligations
• Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce agreements
• Anonymized data used for platform analytics

To request immediate deletion, email privacy@weereel.com.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEE REEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

We are not responsible for any disputes between users, including casting agreements, collaboration disputes, or creative ownership claims.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WeeReel harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through:

• Informal negotiation between the parties
• If unresolved, binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California
• Either party may seek injunctive relief in court
